Coyote

In the mythology and folklore of the Plains Indians, the Coyote is a trickster, known for his poor behavior, greed, lying, and cheating. Coyote's trickery and foolish choices can sometimes get him into trouble. Remind you of anyone we know? Donald Trump is Coyote, and he’s probably the most interesting man of the last 50 years. Now, before I start getting death threats, remember I have a limited vocabulary and words need to be useful in various compacities, kind of like a Swiss Army knife. I like the word “interesting”, and I use it a lot. Given the day, I may use it to describe anything from a train derailment to the virgin birth. And love him or hate him, Trump is interesting, mainly because of the con job he’s pulled on the American people. If Trump had lived in the old west, he’d have travelled from town to town in a mule drawn wagon selling magic elixirs and dealing 3 card Monte. Today, he’s the world’s largest petulant child, throwing temper tantrums, demanding to be the center of attention and seldom able to tell the truth. Some day when you’re bored, go on the AMA website and look up NPD (narcissistic personality disorder)…an excessive need for admiration and praise, an inflated sense of their own importance, a constant need for attention, an unrealistic sense of superiority or entitlement, lack of empathy, using others for personal gain, fantasies about their achievements, exploiting others, entitlement - so, where did this false prophet come from? The answer is easy, the democrats created him. Anyone with any crowd control experience knows that when a large crowd of pissed off people are milling around in the street it’s only a matter of time before they find a leader and the real trouble begins. Trump’s power base is MAGA, and they have an almost Jim Jones/Jonestown loyalty to him. MAGA is a movement of mostly white people in small town and rural areas, working people with strong attachment to family, friends and a community they grew up in. Many served in the military, worked hard all their life, and were a key building block in this country. They were farmers, factory workers, tradesmen, truck drivers, cops, fire fighters and they were conservative democrats. They woke up one morning and didn’t have a home, society was changing, the democratic party had pivoted 180 degrees, called themselves progressives, and became the party of minorities, DEI, radical climate change and cultural wars. Anyone who didn’t sign on, wasn’t welcome. So, the MAGA people milled around for a while, and guess what?  They found a leader and his name was Trump. Even though the average working guy accepted that change is constant and inevitable, like Chaucer said, “time and tide wait for no man”. They thought it would have been nice to be at least consulted and asked to join in the change instead of being derided as undesirables clinging to their Bibles and guns …. Both parties have crossed the Rubicon and they’re committed to a pair of flawed candidates. So, this is what we’re left with- Joe Biden is in failing health, both physically and mentally and has no business in the Oval Office. Donald Trump is Coyote, the trickster and he has a screw loose-this is our choice in November---interesting, huh?
