Stress Could be a Campaign Decider

Awhile back, before the Iowa primary, I wrote a tongue-in-cheek article on here called, “Bridge Bet” and predicted neither Biden or Trump would be on the presidential ballot in November, and I still believe it. It may sound crazy, but sometimes crazy has its own way of making sense. It’s like learning more from what’s not being said than what is being said.  Joe Biden is 81 years old and his mental and physical health are failing right before our eyes. His minders have him on a reduced schedule and are doing what they can to reduce stress in the most stressful job imaginable. But what about the other guy? Nobody has even mentioned the stress and mental health of Donald Trump. He’s 77 years old, fresh out of two guilty verdicts in civil trials that cost him a cool half a billion dollars. Both will be appealed, but in the interim, he must put half a billion in escrow with the court. He’s facing another trial in March for paying hush money to a stripper, he’ll lose again and this time it’ll be a felony conviction. He won’t go to jail, but there’ll be another large fine, probation and he’ll go back to campaigning with a sign that says “convicted felon” stapled to his coat tails and that won’t play well with centerish voters. If the US Supreme Court doesn’t bail him out and they probably won’t, he’ll face his two most dangerous trials before we get to the general election in November. Like I said, once before, they’ll take Windex and paper towels, clean the seminal fluid off the Georgia case, bring in a couple of different prosecutors from the Fulton County DA’s office and Trump will get convicted by his own words and a slew of flip witnesses. Then, unless the Supremes buy into his delay tactics (doubtful) he’s looking at another guilty verdict and maybe some time in jail. So, talk about stress, Biden may not know where he's at most of the time, but Trump knows exactly where he is, he’s in a world of shit if this doesn’t play out according to plan, there’s no room for error, that’s called stress. So far, the RNC has been paying his legal bills amounting to millions, but that gravy train won’t last much longer and that adds a little more stress. In 1519, when Cortez landed in Mexico to conquer the Aztec Empire, he burnt 10 of his 11 ships, so his men would understand there was no turning back. Trump is doing the same thing- there’s no going back, win the presidential election and you can pardon yourself, or just order the Attorney General to dismiss the cases. The medical profession has always called stress the silent killer and Trump is the poster boy for it, he has a lot on his plate and none of it’s good. The stress will keep mounting, he’ll be squeezed from all sides, the walls will start closing in and eventually the stress will win. I wouldn’t be surprised if we wake up some morning to a headline that says one of two things (1) Donald Trump has been rushed to the hospital with a massive coronary or stroke, or (2) Donald Trump has dropped out of the race and cut a major deal with Georgia and the Feds to plead guilty to lesser charges, avoid any possible jail time and retired to Mar-a-Lago to send text messages and play golf. Unless I miss my guess, it’s also why Nikki Haley will stay in the race, she’s cagey, she sees Trump’s predicament and where it must end. Let fate and his own actions do the dirty work and be the last person standing….
